Description and Comments
CF101 is an anti-inflammatory drug (
targeting the Adenosine A3
receptor [A3AR] with the goal of suppressing TNF-alpha) currently undergoing testing for effectiveness against a variety of diseases including psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn's Disease. A Phase II study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of CF101 in psoriasis patients was completed in September 2009. In this study about one-third of patients saw at least a 50% reduction in their psoriasis symptoms, and there were no significant safety problems.
Can-Fite Biopharma recently received US FDA approval for a new Phase II/III study in psoriasis.
