Description and Comments

CT327 is an experimental, topical "TrkA kinase inhibitor" (pegylated K252a) designed to involve a high concentration of medication on the targeted skin combined with low systemic exposure (i.e., without a lot of the drug entering the body's bloodstream, which might increase side-effects).  CT327 inhibits the activity of the nerve growth factor (NGF) receptor TrkA to reduce the proliferation of keratinocytes (the most common type of skin cells).  CT327 is also being studied in atopic dermatitis.

Creabilis is also working on CT637 for severe psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and other diseases.
